Seminar on AI Robotics by Dr. Dong-Hyung Kim from ETRI

On Wednesday, May 7th, Dr. Dong-Hyung Kim from the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) was invited to speak at the Department of Robotics Engineering’s Career Development Seminar.

The lecture, titled “When AI Meets Robotics: Introduction to the AI Robotics Division at ETRI,” offered valuable insights into the convergence of artificial intelligence and robotics. Dr. Kim discussed the transformative impact of AI on the field of robotics, focusing on current research trends and the remaining challenges in achieving precise manipulation capabilities for robotic arms and humanoid systems.

Additionally, he introduced several of ETRI’s major ongoing projects, aiming to provide undergraduate and graduate students with a deeper understanding of cutting-edge technologies in AI-based robotics and potential career paths in the field.
